The Town of Fletcher is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. These positions are full time permanent employment opportunities. Applicants must possess current B.L.E.T. Certification from the State of North Carolina. Fletcher Police Department serves a community that is rapidly growing, and thereby requires Officers to be well trained, and eager to keep pace with the ever changing field of policing. Current starting salary is $28,354.00 with maximum starting salary $41,965.00; actual compensation is based on training & experience. · Must be U.S. citizen.
· High School diploma or G.E.D. - College preferred.
· Valid North Carolina Driver’s License
· Must not have committed, been charged with or convicted of any Felony.
· Must not have committed, been charged with or convicted of any Class A-1 or Class 1 Misdemeanors.
· No Class 2 or Class 3 misdemeanor convictions within the past five (5) years.
